Trenggalek is Ready to Succeed in a Safe Pilkada from Covid-19

The Acting Regent of Trenggalek, Drs. Benny Sampirwanto, M.Si., emphasized his readiness to make the Trenggalek Pilkada a safe from Covid-19. He also invited all parties, especially first-time voters, not to abstain and be involved in the success of the 2020 Pilkada Simultaneously on 9 December.

This was said by Benny when he was a guest speaker at the dialogue held at the Trenggalek Regency Government Hall with the theme Increase Participation for Beginners to Come to the 2020 Pilkada TPS, Tuesday (20/10/2020).

In the talkshow held by the East Java Provincial Communication and Information Agency, Benny reminded every Trenggalek Regency community to have voting rights which can be used to determine the future of Trenggalek for the next 5 years.

“Pilkada will greatly affect the course of development, the running of the government in the next 5 years. Please really choose those who can voice their conscience, including first-time voters, and don’t ever abstain, but choose,” said the man who is also the head of the East Java Communication and Information Service.

The important role of first-time voters is considered important in the process of the 5-year democratic party. According to him, the Regency Government together with the KPU have provided socialization in various social media to encourage participation from first-time voters.

In addition, although community participation is an important part of the 2020 Pilkada, Benny also reminded him to pay attention to health protocols in every stage of the implementation of the December 9 Pilkada.

The man who was born in the city of Kediri hopes that the holding of the General Election in the midst of this pandemic will be the holding of a safe Pilkada. This means that the Pilkada can still take place, but strictly applies health protocols. So it is hoped that it will not become a new cluster for the spread of Covid-19.

“All officers and voters must follow the SOP to prevent the spread of the corona virus,” he said.
